| Starfish Instructions |
Instructions for Starfish
1. Attach STARFISH centering bracket ("L" shaped) to your Starfish backplate. You will note a shoulder thumbscrew is attached to a support base in one of the six sections of your Starfish backplate. This is what your centering bracket mounts to using the shoulder thumbscrew.
2. Make sure the centering bracket is placed so it is on the inside of your Starfish backplate, or your strobe head and fabric flaps will not attach!
3. Open Starfish until front (translucent fabric) is taunt, then tighten thumb screw.
4. Insert Starfish handle (shaft) into backplate centering bracket; let it drop-don't tighten thumbscrew.
5. Pull five panels only back to backplate and attach Grommets to backplate corner pins. Two Grommets overlap each other at corner pins.
6. The sixth panel is left open so you can reach in, push shaft on centering bracket until side flaps, (black and silver) are taunt. Tighten thumbscrew and attach sixth panel.
7. Attach your strobe head light to a light stand and connect your Starfish to it. Some prefer the reverse: connect your strobe head to your Starfish first, then attach to a light stand.
Although the STARFISH collapsible design is like that of an umbrella, it should not be opened and closed exactly like one. Open and close the STARFISH in the upside-down position. Make sure the back flaps are tucked underneath the ribs. When folding the STARFISH for storage, let all flaps fall out and roll it up.

| Soft Strip RS Instructions |
Instructions for Soff Strip RS
1. Place fabric on flat surface with silver side up.
2. Position strobe connector backplate face down. inserting each of the four corner hub pins into the four Grommet holes in the fabric. Be sure the backplate is positioned correctly so that when the rods are inserted into the corner hubs, they will be going in the right direction.
3. Insert ONE rod at a time into the corner hubs, and pull the corresponding grommeted fabric up and over the rod tip pin. REMEMBER! Assemble only one rod into corner hub and fabric attachment at a time. NOTE: Some of the Soff Strip RS rods have bends in them. Make sure they are inserted into the corner hub so that the rod extends to an upward position. (channel side of the rod always faces fabric).
4. Pull the grommeted fabric, one corner at a time, up and over the rod tip pin. Your Soff Strip RS will form its shape. IMPORTANT! Sometimes a grommet will slip off a back plate corner hub pin, this will cause your fabric to "hang-up" making it difficult to pull the fabric to the rod tip. Double check these points during assembly.
5. Inside baffle: If you wish to use it, attach to corresponding velcro.
6. Attach your strobe head to a light stand and connect your Soff Strip RS to it. Some prefer the reverse: connect your strobe head to your Soff Strip RS first, then attach to a light stand.
NOTE: If your SOFF STRIP is "lopsided" it is because one or more of the rods are not fully inserted (seated) into the corner hubs.
